I sure hope the lithium ion batteries last longer than the nicad ones do. The main reason the older ones totally die is because the little inner 1.2 volt batteries inside have a steel case and we all know what happens when steel (unprotected that is) gets a little moisture on them. Walaaaaaaaa rust and short out so no longer work. Hopefully the lithium batteries have a better case on them but i doubt it!

@lennonpolo Yes, sorry about that, but we may resurrect them. For now though we are concentrating on Bosch for the DIY market

Apparently they have been out over there for ages and protools make one as well.
The Bosch PS21-2A is another example cant be bought over here yet the full 12 max range are available in the U.S and Canada.
And theres a complete range of Milwaukee 12v lithium tools that dont exist over here either that are great tools for plumbers and sparks and am sure would sell well. From sawsalls and lithium ion hacksaws through chordless tube cutters to hand held viewers for cavities.

@wayneburgess63 I don’t see any plans in the Ryobi literature I have. Is this a new product in the States? Normally the UK gets them a few months later.
