    good video but the part where he adjusts the saw while keeping his finger in the trigger guard area is just bad practice.

    I’m female, too, and just bought my own circular saw. Have seen one used plenty of times, but never used one myself. This video was excellent!

    @DOLRED Also never try to force the saw back on cut line if you happen to get off, instead back up with the saw and try to aim to realign the cut. this is the most common mistake that I see while teaching a shop class at a high school. If you have not already watched the work safe video “Circular Saw Kickback” watch it it contains a great illustration as to what happens when cutting wood.

    When u were ripping shouldn’t the wood you’re cutting be clamped in place so you would be using both hands on the saw?

    So which is better BOSCH or the Makita. Would love to know. Don’t care about the ridgid (don’t like the color anyway)
