It self-adjusts to various pipe sizes. Look through a window (conveniently built into the tool head) to see exaclty where your pencil mark is on the pipe. An LED illuminates the mark to increase accuracy of your cut. Pull the trigger, and in a few seconds one pipe is two.

It is really shines when you have to cut pipe that is in place, like between studs in a finished wall. The only option used to be a Sawzall, which leaves a ragged edge that had to be dressed with a file. No more. This baby will chop it in no time, and it leaves a clean cut! I was remodeling some pipe in an attic recently and it worked like a dream.

I still keep my trusty Ridgid (manual) pipe cutter handy, but lately it never comes out of my tool pouch.

It seems pretty well built, and will stand up to lots of use. I HIGHLY recommend this tool! ;-)

I bought the Milwaukee pipe cutter from Amazon because it was about $5.00 cheaper than other retailers but the real savings was in the free shipping.

For those of you who don’t like a Milwaukee tool made in China, this tool is not for you.

Like my other ancient Milwaukee tools I accumulated over time, this tool has the typical Milwaukee heavy-duty-feel feed-back: it feels solid and sturdy, balanced weight distribution, and industrial performance. The tool quickly cuts my 3/4″ copper pipe without fanfare, leaving a smooth cut. I doubt I will ever go back to using a manual cutter. As with almost all Milwaukee tools, this tool is well conceived and executed — which is why I seldom deviate from the Milwaukee brand. Whether you are doing a small piping job as a DIY or as a tradesman, this Milwaukee pipe cutter will make your job go easier.
